Weirs Beach Lobster Pound has selected a head chef from the many applicants interviewed.  Carol Clancy, the new head chef, has been in the restaurant business for over 20 years.  She recently closed her own restaurant after 11 years of successful operation Carol was looking for a change.

Carol brings with her the knowledge to run an efficient kitchen.  although her background is in Italian cuisine she has the expertise to prepare seafood, steaks and chops to our High Quality Standards.  We would like to take his opportunity to welcome Carol Clancy to the Weirs Beach Lobster Pound Food-Service Team.

The outside balconies have been completed and work on the new kitchen and the lounge area has begun.  If the weather holds we should have our new 30 foot lighthouse in place in the next few days.

Ownership Of the Weirs Beach Lobster Pound was transferred today to Richard and Michael Ray.  The former owners, Lou Gaynor and Harvey Chernin, purchased the  restaurant in 1984.  Lou and Harvey were active in the restaurant for 23 years, they were largely responsible for developing the Laconia Roadhouse. The Laconia Roadhouse is an entertainment venue during the annual Laconia bike week.  It is in fact, the largest entertainment facility in the Weirs Beach and the property supports the largest vendor display area during bike week.
